Nonprofit and Media Collaborations

The push for cross-sector collaboration is everywhere lately. While this may seem like a recent trend in the nonprofit sector, working collaboratively and benefiting from shared learning has led to the success of the Nonprofit Communications and Media Network (NCM Network) for more than 60 years.
Founded in 1955, NCM Network’s main purpose is to help nonprofits connect and work more effectively with the media in the Southern California community to improve communications and cause awareness for greater impact.
…Too often, communication professionals do not have access to a ready network of peers to interact with in person to share information. NCM Network offers a space for nonprofit and news media peers to come together and connect in ways that are not happening elsewhere. Read more
NCMN Hosts a Discussion on “Fake News”

A discussion about media credibility, journalistic ethics and “fake news” was hosted April 19 at ABC7 in Glendale by the Nonprofit Communications and Media Network (NCMN). The panelists included a wide range of experts who spoke openly about the issues they see in the media and their opinion on what should be done. Read more

A day for “Quality Time with PR Minds”

On December 10, 2016, NCM Network partnered with the Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA) to present the 15th Annual “Quality Time with PR Minds” program, a one-day event where teams of PR professionals volunteer their time and share their expertise with nonprofit organizations. Through one-on-one brainstorming sessions, PR teams and the organizations they are matched with identify opportunities and tackle challenges to build stronger communication strategies.
